How to measure a Euro profile cylinder.
A Euro cylinder is measured from the centre of the fixing screw to both sides. It is not one single length. It has an outside length and an inside length.

Measure from the fixing screw
Open the door and find the long fixing screw on the door edge at cylinder height. Measure from the middle of that screw to the outside and inside edge of the cylinder or fitting.
Direct measurement is more precise
If the door is open, loosen the fixing screw, turn the key slightly so the cam aligns, and pull the cylinder out gently. Then measure from the centre of the screw hole to both ends.
Do not use this for special locks
Panic bars, multi-point locks, rim locks, bar locks, deadbolt crossbars and internally blocked mechanisms are not normal DIY cylinder cases.

What if the cylinder does not come out?
Do not force it. The cam, fitting or lock case may be blocking it.
Can you help if the door is already locked?
Yes, but that is no longer a DIY measuring job. It becomes an emergency opening case.
